Chiropractic Adjustment or Manipulation

Chiropractic manipulation is often described as a controlled force on a joint that has become restricted.  Manipulation or an adjustment aims to correct spinal alignment, restore joint range of motion, and ultimately improve function.  Dr. Martindale tailors his adjustment techniques to what best suits each patient.

A restricted joint can often place stress on adjacent tissues that can manifest as very symptoms.  The stress from restricted joints can cause inflammation, decreased motion or function, and pain.  Manipulation of the joint can restore motion, decrease pain and muscle spasm, and enable the inflamed tissues to heal.
